Dr. Kashoro Nyenyezi is a leading human rights consultant, researcher, and the Executive Director of Helping Hand for Survivors (HHS). She holds a Ph.D. in Social Justice Education from the University of Toronto, where her academic work focused on gender-based violence, land dispossession, and the resilience of Congolese women in conflict-affected regions.
Dr. Nyenyezi's research and advocacy are deeply informed by African feminist, anti-colonial, and indigenous knowledge frameworks to promote gender justice, peacebuilding, and social inclusion. Through her complex work, she amplifies the voices of marginalized women and champions transformative approaches to healing, empowerment, and community development, particularly in the Democratic Republic of the Congo and the diaspora.
